Al Gore's Nobel Lecture: "We must act"

For their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change, the Nobel Peace Prize 2007 was awarded to Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
Today in Oslo Al Gore has delivered his Nobel Lecture.

Coral Garden Project in the Dominican Republic

The DR Coral Garden Project is a dynamic public-private initiative to conserve and restore threatened Caribbean coral reefs and associated habitats in Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) at Punta Cana, Bayahibe, Samana and Sosua Bay in the Dominican Republic. This project is being implemented by Counterpart International (CPI) and FUNGLODE/GFDD in association with a series of national stakeholders: NGO's, divers' and fishermen's associations, hotel and tourism companies and associations, as well as representatives from the Ministries of Environment and Tourism.
